As many of you may be aware, the new SimCity game can only be accessed when users were connected to the internet and to the EA game server. There has been a slew of connection problems that have made it nearly impossible for some players to log on to their virtual city. The problem got so bad that amazon had to put a warning message on the game, notifying customers that they had received several complaints regarding the game’s online only mode.

Maxis bigwig Lucy Bradshaw was asked if development were considering making an offline SimCity mode at some point, she replied with the following comment:

“We have no intention of offlining SimCity any time soon,” she said from the game’s official twitter, @simcity, “but we’ll look into that as part of our earning back your trust efforts.”

Currently the PC version of the game has 1 1/2 stars. Mostly due to the connection problems.
