Console wars are a popular topic of debate as we want to be peaceful and coexist with each other, but deep down each indivually know which console is truly the best. We gamers of modern day don’t chirp at each other of which console is best as much, now we speak with our wallets. Both Sony and Microsoft our looking to introduce powerful consoles at a premium price, so we as gamers expect the console and the games for it to be top notch quality and nothing less. New consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X are bound to launch in holiday of 2020. Both Xbox and Sony both seem to play it safe and use a similar controller design.
Cross console gaming is an interest that gamers are obviously interested and more and more multi-platform game makers are giving the green light to allow gamers to play with each other. Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo need to work together to make this happen, as this has been a benefit people have on mobile gaming apps. When playing mobile gaming apps people on Android are able to connect and play games with their friends and family that have the same game installed on their iPhone. This is one benefit that console gamers would surely appreciate. Timed exclusives have been a trend in last generation which gives a competitive edge for consoles, and gamers do appreciate to be able to play competing console games, which is a much nicer feature than complete exclusives that you will not get to play unless you own multiple consoles. The console ecosystem that has the best exclusives is usually the best competitive edge and helps gamers choose which console to invest in. Other features like portability of the Switch stand out too.
